The Law Of Moses Does Not Apply To Gentiles And Christians, Acts 15
Acts 15:28, It seemed good to The Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond these essential requirements:
Acts 15:29, You must abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals, and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell.

The Meeting In Jerusalem
Also called the Council of Jerusalem, about AD 49, moderated by James, the brother of Jesus; decided that Gentile Converts to Christianity did not have to be circumcised or keep the Law of Moses.
Only to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals, and from sexual immorality.
This pivotal decision helped to spread Christianity among Gentiles, non-Jews.
Reason For The Meeting
Some Pharisees said that the Gentiles must obey the Law of Moses.
So the Apostles and Elders met to look into this matter.
Acts 15:5-6
The Discussion
Peter replied, “why do you test God by placing on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear? On the contrary, we believe it is through the grace of the Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”
Acts 15:10-11
The whole assembly fell silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul describing the signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them.
Acts 15:12
The Decision
When they had finished speaking, James decided, “It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not cause trouble for the Gentiles who are turning to God. Instead, we should write and tell them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals, and from blood.”
Acts 15:19-20
The Letter
Then they sent Paul and Barnabas, with Judas called Barsabbas and Silas, with this letter:
The apostles and the elders, your fellow Christians, To the Christians among the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia: Greetings.
It has come to our attention that some went out from us without our authorization and unsettled you, troubling your minds by what they said.
So we all agreed to choose men to send to you along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore we are sending Judas and Silas to tell you in person the same things we are writing.
It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond these essential requirements:
You must abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals, and from sexual immorality.
You will do well to avoid these things.
Farewell.
Acts 15:22-29
Sending The Letter
So the men were sent off and went down to Antioch, where they assembled the congregation and delivered the letter. When the people read it, they rejoiced at its encouraging message.
Acts 15:30-31
Acts 11:25-26, The First Time The Disciples Were Called Christians
Acts 11:25, Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul,
Acts 11:26, and when he found him, he brought him back to Antioch. So for a full year they met together with the church and taught large numbers of people. The Disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.
