Why Another English Translation Of The Bible
Mainly, because none of the commonly used English translations of The Bible, refer to The Holy Spirit, correctly as she and her.
A More Accurate Translation
I started with public domain translations, which I edited to fix the most important and common mistakes, like Jesus not referring to The Holy Spirit as she and her.
And, translating Elohim, a plural word, as a singular male God, and not as Deities or The Trinity.
I have also used the word, Deities, instead of Gods, since there were Goddesses there.
I have not completely fixed all of this, as Elohim occurs 100s of times in The Bible.
Sometimes, the original Hebrew is Elohim, when they meant Yahweh Elohim.
And, sometimes it is the monotheist Yahweh takeover of the Elohim.
Such as, when the monotheists wrote, Yahweh is your Elohim, to erase The Holy Spirit as a Goddess; and so, wrote Yahweh is your Elohim (Trinity).
Just like some people now translate our Father, in The Lord’s Prayer, as our Father-Mother, and so erase The Goddess Holy Spirit as our Mother.
No Deliberate Mistranslating
I have not deliberately mistranslated words, or added words, in English; to change the original meaning in the original languages of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.
I have not deliberately mistranslated, to change the meaning, as misogynists do, like “and he”, when original Greek is “who”.
Or as those with other agendas do, such as Father-Mother, when original Greek is Father, and no Mother.
Or, added alone, after faith, in Paul’s Letter, when there is no alone in the original Greek.
Easily Searchable
For myself.
I wanted a Bible that was easily searchable and quotable.
It can be almost impossible to get a version of the Bible, where every verse is numbered, with the numbering including the Book Name and the Book Chapter.
For example, I have Matthew 10:8, not just 10:8; and, Luke 16:16, not just 16:16; this way, you know exactly where you are.
If you search for Matthew 10:8; you can easily find, Matthew 10:8, Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
Not just; 10:8, Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
Or, worse still; 8, Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
If you search for Luke 16:16; you can easily find, Luke 16:16, The Law of Moses and the Prophets were proclaimed until John the Baptist. Since that time, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone is forcing their way into it.
Easily Quotable
With the Book name, chapter and verse numbers, at the beginning of every verse, you know exactly where you are, making every verse easily quotable.
If you search for Magdalene; by control+f, then typing Magdalene; and, you come up with Luke 8:2, instead of 8:2, you know immediately you are in Luke 8:2, and not some other Book.
Luke 8:2, And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
Luke 8:3, And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, who ministered to him of their substance.
You can quote Luke 8:2-3, without having to search for which Book this 8:2-3 is in.
